State Assessment and Accountability Systems: 50 State Profiles The Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) conducted a survey of state assessment and accountability and collected information on each state, providing brief summaries of their policies regarding assessment, performance reporting, accountability, and alignment between their Title I and general state systems of accountability.

 

State Education Accountability Reports and Indicator Reports: Status of Reports across the Statesó2000.   The Council of Chief State School provides state-by-state information on the types of accountability reports published annually by states, when they are produced, and the levels at which statistics are reported.

Assessment:  

WestEd has been designated by the U.S. Department of Education to provide national leadership in the area of assessment.  WestEd creates resource materials in assessment design and provide services in the development, implementation, and evaluation of state and local assessments ó tests that measure the performance of teachers as well as students.

McREL's Evaluating for Success: An Evaluation Guide for Districts and Schools provides practical information, tips and tools to help evaluate comprehensive school reform.
